California King Bedding Cannot Be Interchanged With Standard King BeddingBy Chris Rodriguez When buying bedding for your California king bed, don't buy the standard or 'Eastern' king sheets. The flat sheet is interchangeable between the two sizes, but the fitted sheet is not. Always measure your mattress before buying the sheets just to make sure they will fit properly. Look for sheets labeled 'California King' or 'Western King.' They may not always be easy to find, especially if you live in the East, so shopping online may be the best way to find California king sheets. You will need 3 standard pillows or 2 king size pillows to fit across the width of a king bed, so keep that in mind when shopping for pillows and pillow cases. Having the extra 4 inches of length that a California king bed offers is wonderful, especially if your toes tend to hang over the edge. Another good thing about it is you can use standard king duvets, comforters, blankets, and pillows. This makes it much easier for you when you need to purchase new bed linens and don't want to spend that little bit extra that the California king size bedding commands. When buying comforter sets or sheet sets for a California king bed, you will get 2 king size pillow cases or pillow shams and an extra long sheet set and/or comforter. Most linen stores only carry standard king size bed linens, but you may find California king linens in specialty shops at a higher price of course. Save yourself some time and money and check out what the internet has to offer for California king bed linens and you may be pleasantly surprised! About the Author:
