Can you answer AndThenThereWasLight’s question about Bedding?:

sometimes portrude through the fabric of the pillow or duvet?

The are scratchy and I have to pull the feather out and discard it. Is this normal?

Bedding Feedback: I have found that the more expensive ones usually have a heavier quality covering, and not as many feathers make their way out.
P.S.: Forgot to mention great post!

Bedding Feedback: yeah, its normal, for the beginning at least, well i guess it would depend on how many were coming through the fabric. my grand idea woudl be to pull all them out and make a new pillow! haha, just kidding.

Bedding Feedback: Yes, this is normal. That’s one of the reasons why people prefer down instead of feathers.

Bedding Feedback: yes it’s normal. if there are real feathers in there, they will poke out. i guess that folks put yet another cover on top, or they get the synthetic kind, in order to avoid that. you don’t have to pull them out; sometimes you can poke them back in too.
